Made with pride in the USA by skilled brushmakers many of whom have been
with DQB for decades, loyal to the craft of brushmaking. With over a century of
brushmaking expertise, the Weinbaum family has taken old-world brushmaking
techniques and blended them into a modern, effcient and state-of-the-art factory
that continues to provide customers with the fnest brush products at the lowest
possible cost.
From the frst brushmaking efforts in 1887 came the initial DQB plant in 1892,
and by 1908 it was already producing custom brushes for Detroit’s burgeoning
auto industry. In the next few decades, DQB would grow to supply both World
War efforts as well as custom applications of brushes worldwide. After growing
in and out of three manufacturing facilities in Detroit, DQB moved to its current
manufacturing facility in 1974 – and moved into the retail hardware market as well
— with 130,000-plus square feet to serve retail and industrial customers with the
fnest materials, expertise and service.
In 2008, DQB continued its efforts to serve its traditional markets by acquiring
Wright-Bernet,
a longtime quality supplier to the hardware/wholesale, paint-sundry,
and equine grooming markets. The combination of both DQB and Wright-Bernet’s
longtime heritage and stellar reputations for brushmaking and quality control ft well
in the hardware industry that recognizes both names as leaders and innovators. The
Wright-Bernet name continues to be used in the full line of
traditional
,
wood-block
horse brushes
that still have the attention to detail that has made this the preferred
line of grooming brushes in the industry.

manufacturing the fnest brushes at the lowest possible cost to you, our valued
customers: For over 100 years, this has been our mission. DQB will continue to
support our customers with on-line conveniences that brings DQB into the modern
era, and we will keep current with all our customers’ needs and requirements. With
that in mind, we look forward to the next 100 years with the same anticipation as
the frst 100.
